Coffee Shop Sketchbook Lilly's Portrait Pencil, Micron Pen 01, Watercolors, & White Gouache 4X7, Sketchbook Paper
I sketched this portrait awhile back at a local coffee shop. Lilly was a regular there and asked me to draw her. I added the trees to add some atmosphere. I loosely inked my drawing and colored it with my watercolors, and just a little white gouache.
Thank you. Ive done several of these coffee shop portraits, Ill have to post a few more. I usually get the person to sit across from me so I can use the sight size method to draw them. My drawings are very angular in the beginning. Its all careful measurements, and proper angles. I dont usually round anything off till the end. I almost always get a likeness that way.

I love it! I really get a sense of her personality.
